Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 July 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern participation in prize competitions operated by Savannah Software LTD ("we", "us", "our"), trading as BHP Giveaways, registered in England & Wales, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. By entering any competition you agree to these terms in full.

2. Eligibility

To enter a competition you must: (a) be aged 18 or over; (b) be a resident of the United Kingdom; (c) not be an employee, director, or immediate family member of Savannah Software LTD or any associated company.

We reserve the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any entry or winner who does not meet the eligibility criteria.

3. How To Enter

Online (paid): Purchase tickets via our website. Select your ticket quantity (maximum 10 per person per competition), answer the skill question correctly, and complete payment. Your entries are confirmed upon successful payment.

Postal (free): Send a handwritten postcard to Savannah Software LTD, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. Include your full name, postal address, email, the competition name, and your answer to the skill question. One free postal entry per household per competition. Postage is at the entrant's cost. Entries must arrive before the competition closes.

4. The Skill Question

Each competition requires you to correctly answer a skill question. This is a legal requirement under UK law that distinguishes our competitions from lotteries. The skill question is always straightforward. Only entries with a correct answer are entered into the prize draw.

5. The Draw

Each competition has a revenue trigger — a minimum ticket-sales threshold sufficient to cover the cost of the prize. The draw date is only announced once this trigger has been reached. Until then, the competition remains open and no draw date is set.

Once the trigger is reached and a draw date is announced, the draw takes place on that date regardless of whether all tickets have been sold. A random winning ticket number is selected using a verified random number generator in the presence of an independent witness. The draw is filmed live and published publicly.

If the revenue trigger is not reached before the competition lapses, no draw will take place. By purchasing tickets you acknowledge and accept this risk.

6. Prizes

Prizes are as described on the competition page. No cash alternative is available unless stated. The winner will be contacted by email within 48 hours of the draw. The winner has 14 days to respond and claim their prize.

If the prize is a vehicle, the winner is responsible for road tax, insurance, and any applicable delivery charges beyond our standard UK mainland delivery. The winner may be required to provide proof of a valid UK driving licence.

7. Refunds

All ticket purchases are non-refundable as a general rule. In particular, no refund is due if the revenue trigger (Section 5) is not reached and the competition lapses, or if the competition closes without sufficient ticket sales — entrants accept this risk at the point of purchase.

A refund will only be considered where: (a) the revenue trigger has been reached and a draw date announced, and (b) we subsequently cancel the competition before that draw takes place. In this situation all affected entrants will be notified by email within 48 hours of cancellation.

Refund method: Eligible refunds are issued first as credit to your BHP Giveaways account, which may be used against any future competition. If you require a monetary refund instead, you must submit an express written request to contact@bhp-g.co.uk within 14 days of the cancellation notice. Monetary refunds, where approved, will be processed within 14 days of that request.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.

8. General

We reserve the right to cancel, modify, or suspend any competition in exceptional circumstances. Our decision on all competition matters is final. These terms are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

These competitions are prize competitions under UK law and are not regulated by the Gambling Commission. For queries contact: contact@bhp-g.co.uk.
