How Our Competitions Work
BHP Giveaways competitions are not lotteries. Under UK law (Gambling Act 2005), each competition includes a skill question you must answer correctly to be eligible to win — no Gambling Commission licence is required.
Every competition is fully lawful. The prize is a real car (or jewellery) that ships directly to the winner. All draws are conducted transparently on camera.
Entering A Competition
1. Choose A Competition
Browse active competitions and pick the car you want to win. Each competition shows the entry price, remaining entries, and draw date.
2. Create A Free Account
Register with your email address. You must be 18 or over and a UK resident to enter paid or free competitions.
3. Answer The Skill Question
Each competition has a straightforward skill question. You must answer correctly to be eligible — this is a legal requirement that makes the competition lawful under UK law.
4. Get Your Entries
Select how many entries you want (max 10 per person per competition) and pay securely by card. Entries from just £0.99 each.
5. Watch The Live Draw
When all entries sell, we draw the winner live on camera with an independent witness. The full draw video is published publicly — you can verify the process is completely fair.

No purchase is necessary to enter. You can enter any competition for free by sending a handwritten postcard to:

Your postcard must include: full name, postal address, email address, the competition name, and your answer to the skill question. One free entry per household per competition. Free entries receive the same chance of winning as paid entries.
Full free entry instructionsHow Winners Are Drawn
When all entries for a competition are sold, the draw happens immediately. Every valid entry receives a unique number. The winning entry is selected using a cryptographically verified random number generator.
All draws are filmed live on camera with an independent witness. The full video is published on our social media channels so anyone can verify the process is completely fair.
The winner is contacted directly and has 14 days to claim their prize. If unclaimed within 14 days, a re-draw is conducted and announced publicly.
